---> Pico Beautification Project:
The Pico Beautification Project or "Walk This Way" has been a dream of many in the area for some years now. This committee is gathering the approval of the CD5 office and has brought in experts in the field of urban landscaping in the hopes of transforming Pico into the lively, beautiful walk/shop street it has always had the potential to become. New businesses are setting up shop on Pico everyday and there seems to be a ground swell of support from business owners and residents alike. The WNC has set aside funding for this project and hopes to involve the community with the planning and maintenance of this exciting project. Help us make Pico Pretty!... Join us at our next meeting, we would love to hear your ideas. Meeting are scheduled on a "as needed" basis.

---> Aqua Line Study:
Few projects will have a more significant impact on the WNC area than proposed light rail routes.
The WNC Ad-Hoc Expo Committee, chaired by Mike Eveloff, will independently gather data on traffic, ridership/ demographics, noise vibration, parking, and economics related to the Light Rail Expo extension. The committee will consolidate the data and report to the Governing Board. The committee will not make a recommendation on a proposed route, but will instead be focused on providing information on the impacts on the WNC area to the full WNC board and others so that they can make an informed decision.

The WNC hired a consultant to review the comments and made recommendations on how to address traffic related issues. The study is on-going as traffic patterns change. The committee is working with the city to review the results of the study and implement some mitigations.
